New Jersey law (N.J.A.C. 8:57-4.1) requires any child attending private or public learning facilities to recieve certain disease preventing immunizations. The Public Health Nurses of Bergen County perform Immunization Audits for contracting towns to be certain the law is enforced.

Whenever immunization deficiencies are noted, the parents/guardians are referredback to their private physician in order to recieve up to date immunizations. If uninsured, the parents/guardians can be referred to a site where FREE Vaccines are available for eligible residents.
