In preparation for an upcoming physical assessment test for new candidates for Class #33 of the Basic Course for County Correctional Police Officers, the Bergen County Police Academy, we will be sponsoring a Pre-Entry Preparation Program (PEPP) on the following dates:

• Tuesday, August 27, 2024
• Thursday, August 29, 2024
• Tuesday, September 3, 2024
• Thursday, September 5, 2024
• Tuesday, September 10, 2024
• Thursday, September 12, 2024

The course runs between 0900 hours and 1000 hours at the Bergen County Police Academy.

This course is not mandatory; however, it affords potential recruits an understanding of the mechanics of their actual physical assessment test. A full mock assessment will be conducted on August 27th and on September 12th. All course attendees must fill out the attached waiver form prior to arrival and bring it with them on their first day, along with a medical clearance from a license physician.

Candidates should bring with them:

1. P.T gear (sneakers designed for running, t-shirt/sweatshirt, athletic shorts/sweatpants)
2. Water bottle
3. Notebook, pen(s)
