BERGEN 250 TO HOST FINAL LECTURE OF 2023

(HACKENSACK, NJ) – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, III and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners invite the public to attend the final Revolutionary War Roundtable Speaker Series lecture of 2023, on Wednesday, December 13, 7–8pm at One Bergen County Plaza, 4th Floor Learning Center, Hackensack, NJ. The lecture series which is hosted by the County’s Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs to commemorate the 250 anniversary of the American Revolution, will continue in 2024 with further dates to be announced.

On Wednesday, December 13, historian Paul F. Soltis will discuss “George Washington at New Jersey’s Middlebrook” Mr. Soltis is the New Jersey State Park Service’s historian for Wallace House State Historic Site, George Washington’s winter headquarters, and Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Site, the historic home of the founder and first president of Rutgers University. He is a dedicated researcher and interpreter of early American history and literature, with a special focus on New Jersey State Parks, Forests, and Historic Sites.

The Bergen250 initiative aims to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution through Bergen County’s diverse lens of people, places, and culture.
