As discussed at today’s Joint Committee meeting, the critically important effort to rebuild the 80-year-old Route 495 Viaduct (which carries about 150,000 vehicles daily) is now underway.  NJDOT, starting last Friday night, has closed one lane in each direction on the 495 approach to the Lincoln Tunnel in order to do the work. There are many sources of information about this project and commuting conditions that you and the public may find valuable.   They include:
