Biography

Ramon M. Hache, Sr. was elected to the Bergen County Board of Commissioners in November 2020. As a Commissioner, Ramon is a strong advocate for improving public open spaces and recreational facilities. Ramon is committed to ensuring continued support in Bergen County schools as the Board seeks to add more trade programs to our technical schools. Ramon is focused on improving communication with municipalities and residents, while looking to enhance opportunities for businesses and expanding the county’s investment in shared services with municipalities.

His approach to governing involves effective and transparent communication, being accessible and responsive to constituents, and a strong focus on ensuring Bergen County is a great place to live, learn, invest, and work.

Born in the Dominican Republic, his family moved to Ridgewood over 30 years ago. He graduated from Ridgewood High School where he excelled academically and athletically. Ramon graduated from Marist College in 1996 with a B.S. in Business Administration. Ramon had an extensive professional career in asset and wealth management having worked at some of the leading global private wealth and asset management companies. He held several senior roles as a Managing Director including Chief Operating Officer and Head of Sales. He previously served on the Ridgewood Village Council beginning in 2016 and became Mayor in 2018. Ramon served on the Planning Board, Parks & Recreation, Fields Committee, and the Central Business District Advisory Committee which he created in 2016. He was Village liaison to the Board of Education and is a former member on the Board of the Bergen County Open Space Advisory Trust Fund. Ramon draws from his experiences in these fields to benefit all residents of Bergen County.

Ramon is very active in his community through volunteerism, coaching youth sports and serving on several ministries at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish in Ridgewood. He serves on the boards of local and national nonprofit organizations. Ramon and his wife Tina are residents of Ridgewood and are parents to six children.

Ramon is employed as Director of Business Development at DMR Architects in Hasbrouck Heights.
