McNERNEY ANNOUNCES HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FAIR

(HACKENSACK) – Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney and the County Department
of Human Services invite residents to the Multicultural Health and Human Services Fair on Sunday, September 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bergen County Academies in Hackensack.
Residents will have the opportunity to have free cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. Workshops regarding a variety of topics including long-term care, life insurance, and immigration will be conducted. The American Cancer Society plans to host a session regarding breast cancer prevention and treatment. Over 90 exhibitors including Bergen Community College, the New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network, the YMCA of Greater Bergen County, Hackensack Medical Center, and Community Blood Services will have literature available. The Bergen County Department of Health Services will offer information on areas
such as environmental health, addiction recovery, and animal control.
Musical entertainers, martial artists, and puppeteers will perform throughout the day.
