Responsibilities:

Performs Subdivision and Site Plan reviews of proposals submitted by applicants in Bergen's 70 municipalities for compliance with state enabling legislation (County Planning Act), the County Planning Board Resolutions and Ordinances and County Engineer's design standards;

Assures that the impact of development proposals on County roads and/or drainage facilities are both anticipated and mitigated;

Ensures that the development proposals are integrated with County and municipal capital improvement programs.

Presents conditional approval reports to the County Planning Board with staff recommendation for their action;

Evaluates development proposals with respect to existing Master Plan elements with respect to transportation needs, redevelopment and open space;

Exchanges experience, expertise and advice with our Department's other Divisions, other County departments, municipalities and the public;

Coordinates, as development proposals present themselves, with ongoing corridor-wide investments;

Assists in rail station planning through relevant redevelopment opportunities.
Past Projects:

Designed, coordinated and constructed the intersection improvement to Rochelle Avenue and Passaic Street in the Borough of Rochelle Park

Designed and coordinated the intersection improvement to Essex Street and Summit Avenue in conjunction with the City of Hackensack's redevelopment program.

Lead agency in the realignment and capacity improvement of River Road in Edgewater by way of Public / Private partnership with developers.

Coordinated the widening of Franklin Turnpike and the installation of two new signals in Mahwah as a result of four large-scale developments.

Construction of four-lane connector road (Solider Hill Road Extension) between Forest Avenue and Pascack Road as per the County Master Plan. Included signalization of Pascack Road and Solider Hill Road.
