Attention Engineers - American With Disabilities Act Enforcement!
All existing or proposed sidewalks (including those crossing driveways), curbing and handicapped ramps must be constructed and/or reconstructed to meet the current requirements of the ADA (http://www.access-board.gov/prowac/nprm.htm). Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 27:17-8, the County of Bergen maintains roadways between curb lines or edges of pavement. The County never-the-less retains its jurisdictional authority to enforce the ADA requirements.

Please be advised that all site plan and subdivision applications for approval to the County will now require four (4) copies of the drawing(s).
All reproducible plans submitted to the County for final approval must provide the County signature block as shown below. The signature block is to be positioned in the lower left hand corner of each sheet submitted. Reproducible drawings that do not conform to this standard will not be accepted for approval.
