Geographic Information System (GIS)
Bergen
County has established a GIS Technical Advisory Group (GIS-TAG) to develop
and maintain a county GIS system. The group is comprised of staff from
the Department of Planning and Economic Development and the Department of Health
Services.
Bergen County has completed the initial phase of a county-wide parcel mapping project, which includes the development of a GIS parcel layer and a street centerline layer. The data developed so far are available to all Bergen County municipal government offices upon request.
The county has launched a web-based GIS mapping site, allowing the public to view property parcel related information and other GIS layers. http://gis.co.bergen.nj.usGIS-TAG is currently working with interested municipal governments on the parcel-based mapping application. If you are interested, please contact GIS-TAG at (201) 336-6446 or email to gis@co.bergen.nj.us
