Description:
In
2002,
the
Township
of
Wyckoff
wished
to
upgrade
its
Memorial
Field
Athletic
Complex.
More
specifically,
the
project
included
the
renovation
of
two
existing
basketball
courts
that
were
in
poor
condition
and
upgrading
the
existing
lighting.
The
two
existing
courts
were
completely
removed
and
three
(3)
brand
new,
full-sized
basketball
courts
were
constructed
in
their
place.
Also
installed
was
an
outdoor
sports
lighting
system,
which
enables
nighttime
play.
The
project
received
broad
community
support
as
it
is
estimated
that
over
2,000
people
make
use
of
this
athletic
facility
annually.
The
courts
are
open
to
the
public
and
also
play
host
to
recreation
league
programs
and
various
basketball
clinics.
The
project
was
completed
in
November
of
2002
and
the
Township
contributed
$38,681
in
matching
funds.
