is
a
paper
street
located
on
the
Eastern
side
of
Kinderkamack
Road
in
River
Edge.
Several
years
ago,
the
Beautification
Committee
approached
the
Mayor
and
Council
and
requested
that
a
grassy
area
on
Jackson
Avenue
be
converted
into
a
passive
pocket
park.
The
scope
of
the
project
included
regrading
of
the
property,
the
construction
of
a
retaining
wall,
as
well
as
the
installation
of
drainage
and
irrigation
systems.
Landscaping
included
the
planting
of
perennials,
shrubs
and
trees.
A
concrete
paver
sidewalk
was
also
installed
along
with
a
commemorative
plaque.
The
park
was
completed
in
June
2003.
Matching
funds
were
generated
by
fundraising
efforts
of
the
Beautification
Committee
and
labor
was
provided
by
the
Borough.
