the
2002
funding
round
of
the
Bergen
County
Open
Space,
Recreation,
Farmland
and
Historic
Preservation
Trust
Fund,
the
Township
of
Mahwah
received
an
award
of
$300,000
to
help
acquire
the
Danza
property
in
Mahwah.
This
acquisition
enables
the
Township
to
keep
the
property
as
open
space
and
would
allow
the
Township’s
bikeway/walkway
to
continue
along
the
Ramapo
River
and
would
eventually
allow
the
property
to
be
connected
to
the
75-acre
Mary
Patrick
property
in
the
west
side
of
the
Ramapo
River.
The
envisioned
bikeway/walkway
is
a
continuous
path
from
Darlington
Avenue
all
the
way
thought
the
municipal
properties,
the
Danza
property
to
the
Mary
Patrick
property
and
to
the
base
of
the
Stag
Hill
Road.
