Immunization Management

Who We Are
The Bergen County Immunization Management program consists of a Bloodborne Pathogens Program and an Adult Hepatitis B Vaccination Program that are in accordance with the Public Employee Occupational Safety and Health (PEOSH) standard to all public employees whose jobs place them at risk. Complying with the law and informing and educating people about health issues protects health and ensures the safety of both the public and personal healthcare workers. This division also provides adult immunizations to protect the public from influenza and its potential complications of pneumococcal pneumonia.

What We Do
The services provided by the Bergen County Immunization Management program include:

  • Bloodborne Pathogen trainings via contracts
  • Hepatitis B vaccinations
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody Titer Testing
  • Development and update of exposure control plan required by state statute
  • Record keeping
  • Counseling in exposures
  • Follow-up for compliance with PEOSH
  • Administration of Influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations via contracts and public programs
