New Jersey Economic Development Authority
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) is ready to put its resources to work for you. The NJEDA is a self-supporting, independent state agency whose mission is to stimulate business development, job creation and community revitalization throughout the State. NJEDA offers various financing programs. Financing programs include:

New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program (Clean Water Financing)
The Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program (EIFP) provides low-interest loans for the construction of a variety of water quality protection measures, including wastewater treatment facilities and stormwater and non-point source management facilities. The projects eligible for financing from the EIFP include:

  • Combined sewer overflow abatement facilities
  • Lake restoration activities
  • Landfill closure facilities (such as capping systems or leachate collection and treatment systems)
  • New landfill facilities (such as double-composite liner systems and leachate collection and treatment systems)
  • Pump stations
  • Rehabilitation of existing sewer systems
  • Salt domes
  • Sewer maintenance equipment
  • Stormwater basins
  • Wastewater collection and conveyance facilities
The Financing Program also provides loans for activities such as open space land purchase and conservation, remedial action activities (including Brownfields) and well sealing. For more information or to request a NJDEP application, please contact Stanley V. Cach, Jr. at 609-292-8961.
New Jersey Women’s Micro-Business Credit Program
The New Jersey Women’s Micro-Business Credit Program is a collaborative economic development program implemented by DCA’s Division on Women and New Jersey Redevelopment Authority (NJRA), a DCA affiliate. The program assists women with minimal business experience develop their entrepreneurial goals. Participants learn how to start, market, or expand their small business, as well as increase their business skills through training and mentoring opportunities. In addition, eligible participants have the opportunity to apply for a loan of up to $5,000. For more information please contact the New Jersey Division on Women at 609-292-8840.
Union County Economic Development Corporation (UCEDC)
The UCEDC is a statewide, nonprofit economic development corporation dedicated to assisting and financing small businesses, minority– and women-owned enterprises. Whether you are an entrepreneur looking for assistance to create a business plan and get your idea up and running, or you are an existing small business looking to grow, UCEDC offers programs to help. U.S. Small Business Administration
SBA programs and services support the small business person through SBA-backed loans, government contracting opportunities, disaster assistance, and training programs. Financing opportunities are available from $500 to $2 million. Programs include: Export Express, Micro-Loan Program, and Small Business Loan Programs.
