  • Defeated former State Senator and elected to prestigious position of Mayor in 2002 general election, representing almost 30,000 constituents. Won re-election in 2005 general election by a wide margin and served 4 year term. Gained a wealth of knowledge in city government, worked with county and state government on various opportunities for our community.
  • Over saw a work force of over 400 employees, acted in the capacity of Borough Administrator while position was vacant.
  • Challenged NJ Governor on repealing the County Blue Laws telling him “over my dead body” will the blue laws change in Paramus. • Founded Economic Development Committee to spur business growth, tax revenue,and employment, keeping retail zip code among the top five in the country.
  • Balanced property taxes, borough services and quality of life issues keeping Paramus a successful and diverse community that residents want to continue to live in or want to live in.

Held various positions as council member; Council President, Police Commissioner, Planning Board member, labor negotiations, municipal pool liaison and many others.

Held all positions within fire department, Department Chief 1991 & 1999, various chief ranks totaling eight years and various line officers ranks for 16 years. Paramus Fire Department is a leader in fire prevention and education as well as in progressive fire fighting tactics.

Regional Manager, Large Customer Support

  • Directed a group of professionals managing the largest business and government customers within the PSE&G territory. These customer represent greater than sixty percent of the revenue collected by PSE&G.
  • Designed and implemented a large customer survey to measure customer satisfaction with PSE&G. Customer satisfaction results averaged higher in the northern part of the territory which I managed as regional manager.
  • Established procedures to improve relationships with County and Municipal officials during emergencies, providing officials information that allowed them to improve there planning and response during emergencies.
