Current Programs - Storm Drain Marker

Every town in Bergen County is now required to mark their storm drains with a " No Dumping - Drains to Stream " marker. This requirement is part of the new storm water regulations mandated by NJDEP. Bergen County Environmental Council, with the help of Bergen County Utilities Authority, has been successful in enlisting 56 Bergen County towns to mark their storm drains, as of December, 2007. The Council's ultimate goal is to have all Bergen County Municipalities meet the requirements of the state's new storm water regulations by marking their storm drains.

The following towns have applied markers. (To see a map of the County progress on storm drains, click here.)
