  1. Afternoon Tea in the Historic Hermitage

    Join us for a three course Afternoon Tea inside the historic Hermitage! Courses include 3 specialty teas, scones, tea sandwiches, and desert. Seating is available for Saturday, March 24th OR Sunday, March 25th at 1:00pm. Reservations are required to attend this event and seating is limited. From 1917 until 1932, Bess Rosencrantz, the owner of the house, and her niece, Mary Elizabeth, ran a successful tea room in the parlors of the Hermitage, entertaining guests from around the world with local legends, folktales, and ghost stories about the historic home and its inhabitants. We invite you to relive the past with us at this very special event. The Gothic Revival historic home is rarely open for a unique opportunity like this. We hope you will join us for a wonderful afternoon!

  5. Bergen County Historical Society: March to the Vote - Countdown to Women Getting the Vote 100 Hundred Years Ago in 2020

    Linda Russell presents "Remember the Ladies: A History of American Women in Song." The Bergen County Historical Society's "March to the Vote" will be a series of programs and exhibits celebrating the events leading to the 1920 passage of the 19th amendment, granting American women the right to vote. Refreshments in the 18th century tavern (additional cost). Some folks come just for the cider and cider donuts!
