  1. “Open Cockpit Weekend” at the Aviation Hall of Fame of NJ

    November 11, 2017, 10:00 AM - November 12, 2017, 4:00 PM @ Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of NJ

    Visitors can explore the cockpits of a TWA Convair 880 jetliner, a rare Lockheed-designed Bush Plane, a Bell 47 helicopter ,our “Little-Cut-Up” aircraft control demonstrator, and the control cab of a real Airport Rescue and Fire-Fighting truck.People, young and old can learn how the flight systems work. Qualified pilots will help guests understand the instruments and controls of these special aircraft. Also there will be an aviation book sale and the first 25 children on both days will receive a small free gift! Founded in 1972, the Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of New Jersey is dedicated to the preservation of the Garden State's distinguished, two-century aviation and space heritage. The men and women, whose outstanding aeronautical achievements have brought worldwide recognition to the state, are enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Call for directions and additional information.

  2. WORLD WAR I CENTENNIAL TRIBUTE - RUTHERFORD

    November 11, 2017, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Rutherford WWI Monument

    Come pay tribute to all Veterans at Rutherford's sacred WWI Monument. Ceremony will feature the Flag Folding Ceremony and Reading of the Names. Immediately following, across the street at the Rutherford Library, 150 Park Ave., there will be refreshments, a screening of "The Lost Battalion" and "Dear Home: Letters from World War I," and an exhibit honoring Rutherford residents who served.
