  1. Zoo Flix After Dark – The Space Between Us

    August 23, 2017, 8:30 PM - 11:00 PM @ Van Saun County Park

    County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders are excited to announce the return of Bergen County’s "Summer Movies in the Park" series. This summer the county will offer an expanded selection of movies at multiple locations including Van Saun County Park, Darlington Lake, and Riverside County Park. Movies will be shown every Wednesday and Friday from July 7 to August 30. Wednesday night movies will be geared towards an adult audience and Friday night movies will be kid-friendly. All start times will begin after 8:30 PM (After Sunset). Bring your chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy a great movie in the park!

  3. WORTENDYKE BARN OPEN SUNDAY AFTERNOONS, County Historic Site

    August 27, 2017, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Wortendyke Barn

    The Wortendyke Barn Museum, a National Register landmark, and the family’s stone house across the street, are all that remain of the original Wortendyke family farm. The barn, built in 1760, is an outstanding example of the vernacular architecture referred to as a “New World Dutch Barn” which could be found throughout 18th and 19th century Bergen County. The Barn’s exhibits include handmade 18th and 19th century farm implements and tools, the history of the Wortendyke family farm, and exhibits showing the agricultural history of the area from the first settlers through the 20th century. Come to the free "Music at the Barn" concert series on the last Sundays of July, August and September at 4 pm. And end the season on October 29 with the 7th Annual “Bluegrass & Cider” concert. Bring chairs, blankets, picnics, family and friends to the concerts which are held rain or shine. The Barn is fully accessible and free to the public.

  5. Memorial Quilt Community Program for Light the Night for Recovery and Hope

    August 31, 2017, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Bergen County Administration Building

    Light the Night for Recovery and Hope, scheduled for September 28th at 6:30 pm, recognizes and celebrates the gains made by those in Recovery. Our memorial quilt serves as a visual representation of the voices and the stories of our loved ones and friends who have lost his/her battle with the disease of addiction. ?Basic Materials will be provided ?Bring a photo for inclusion on the panel, if desired ?Appliques can be brought, but avoid glass beads, sequins or heavy objects We invite you to join us to create a panel that will be added to the quilt this year.
