Bergen County Zoo Mission Statement:

Hours of Operation - the zoo is open every day from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Periodic closures occur due to inclement weather or for special event preparation.

Admission - admission is charged every day from May through October. The admission fee schedule is listed below.

Budgie Encounter - Budgie Ecounter is a special, seasonal exhibit with a separate admission fee of $1.00/person and $1.00/feeding stick. The exhibit is open every day from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, weather permitting.

Amphitheater - In July and August, live animal shows are held three times a day in our outdoor amphitheater – between the spider monkey and alligator exhibits. Shows are free with zoo admission, and seating is first-come, first-served. Check out the shows of the day as you enter the zoo.

Train/Carousel/Pony Rides - Train and Carousel operate from April through October every day. They are open from 10 am to 5 pm. Tickets are $1.50 person.
Pony Rides - pony rides operate from April through October.

Directions
From Route 4 (east or west):
Exit at Forest Avenue. Bear right at the end of the ramp onto Forest Avenue north. Park is 1 ½ miles on the right.

From Route 17 (north or south):
Exit to Route 4 East and follow directions as above.

Garden State Parkway North:
Take Exit 161 (Route 4 East) and follow directions as above.

Garden State Parkway South:
Take Exit 163 (Route 17 South) and follow directions as above.
