This annual event is held the weekend before Halloween. ZooBoo is 100% child-friendly (though it’s naturally just a little spookier in the dark.) This annual event includes trick-or-treating throughout the zoo, magic shows and ghostly story-telling. Children are encouraged to come in their costumes! There will be no scary train ride during ZooBoo this year.

Members' Night - this Members Only event includes live animal programming, special displays, animal demonstrations, behind-the-scenes tours as well as other surprises. (link to membership application)

Comedy Night - this annual fund-raiser is a lot of laughs! Open to members and non-members alike, the evening includes buffet dinner, tricky-tray auction, and a great comedy show. Tickets for this event are limited, so contact the zoo office in January for ticket availability.

Holiday Train Ride with Santa - be sure to stop by the zoo when Santa pays a visit in December. Enjoy a free train ride, free refreshments, and a visit with the "big guy" himself.

Sheep Shearing - ever see a sheep get a haircut? Each year the zoo's collection of Tunis sheep get shorn to prepare for the hot summer and you're invited. Included with the shearing demonstration are demonstrations on spinning wool and weaving. Also available is information on how wool is dyed with natural products. The Sheep Shearing program is free with regular zoo admission. Contact the zoo office for dates.

Party for the Planet - Party for the Planet is the zoo's annual Earth Day celebration. Walk through the zoo and talk with exhibitors from conservation groups throughout our area. Special programs and demonstrations are held throughout the day. Party for the Planet is held in April, when zoo admission is free. Check back here for this year's date and details.
