Group
Trips to the Zoo Without Programming
If
you would like to reserve an education program, please click
here. Groups that reserve an education program do not
need to apply for a permit through the Parks Department. If
you are not interested in an education program, but would
like to visit the zoo with your group, and are bringing 25
or more people (including children and adults) you must have
a park permit. To request a permit application, click
here or call (201) 336-7261. The permit application process
takes 3 weeks. Groups with fewer than 25 people do not need
a park permit.
Programs for
School and Scout Groups
The Bergen County Zoo is a fun and educational destination
for your class trip. We conduct programs for Pre-school (4
years & older) through High School. (College groups may
arrange for special programming by contacting the Education
Curator directly.) Programs for school and scout groups are
conducted at the zoo daily from September - June. We can also
travel to your school (within Bergen County) to conduct the
same programs from September - March.
Programs are reserved by mail on a first come, first served
basis. Programs must be requested at least one month in advance.
For Fall and Winter programs (Sept - February,) reservation
forms may be mailed in anytime after August 1st. For Spring
programs (March - June,) reservation forms may be mailed in
anytime after December 1st. Spring programs fill up quickly
- if you are planning to visit in May or June, you should
send your reservation form in by January.
